An opportunity has arisen at Eurotunnel for a radio engineer.
Radio Systems Ltd is looking for an experienced radio engineer to work on the maintenance and repair of the infrastructure and radios at Eurotunnel.
The job will be primarily based in Coquelles at the French end of Eurotunnel and the correct person will be required to be on call along with the other team members on the contract. This role will typically be normal office hours Monday to Friday however as radio is a critical element of the working of Eurotunnel then cover for holiday or absence at the weekend will also be required.
The correct person should have a minimum of three years practical experience in radio communications and will be preferably qualified to ONC/HNC level. The post holder should have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate at all levels in the spoken and written word. A good outward appearance, self motivated and the ability to work under pressure are vital.
Salary will be commensurate with the candidates ability; in addition Radio Systems offers a contributory pension scheme, an allowance for working in France, on call allowance and shift allowance.
The candidate will be required to undertake and pass a government security clearances and will be undertake a safety critical medical including drugs and alcohol testing.
